Creative Hub in a Historic Building

This was a vision of two local artists, Cyrus Coleman and Adewale Agboola, to renovate a historic building in Old Town, Portland into a creative, Black-owned hub serving the BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Color) community.

One of the design challenges was to incorporate a broad range of spaces across a 4-story building with a very small footprint. Programs included a cafe, art gallery, bar and music lounge, maker spaces, recording space, full production studio, and an artist-in-residence penthouse apartment.
